Advocacy Update

For many, the New Year brings a sense of renewal and planning of goals. Here at Michigan IIDA, we have been busy behind the scenes to plan for 2021 and beyond. To continue to promote and uplift our profession, we have been working on educational resources to help inform the public about what interior design is and why interior design is important. We brought back and kicked-off our Advocacy Roadshow presentations focusing on advocacy education, the importance of the NCIDQ exam, and why IIDA supports that mission.

We have also been working on partnering with our fellow designers in other organizations to bring our members more resources, events, and help build a strong local ID community.

As a reminder, we would like to invite everyone to visit our Phone2Action system at: to sign up for advocacy-related alerts. Spread the word! We welcome all those in support of interior design to sign up as well: students, industry professionals, parents, educators, and friends.
