As an Interior Designer for Northgate Resorts, your role is to develop design solutions for assigned projects that align with our brand identity and design direction for each unique property, helping to bring our mission to life. You will work closely with the Interior Design and Project manager to develop design concepts, prioritize workload and identify opportunities keeping the customer experience in mind at all times.

Some responsibilities include researching concepts and materials to support the design direction, creating mood boards, creating layouts, elevations, and construction documents. The necessary experience at adequately navigating AutoCAD, creating 3D renderings in SketchUp, and working promptly to reach agreed-upon deadlines and goals is highly desired.

This position requires the employee to prepare, facilitate, and participate in design presentations, furniture selection, finishes, decor, and budgets for assigned projects. Interior Designers will conduct site visits as needed with estimated travel up to 20%. This position is full-time and reports the Design and Project Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities
Design Duties
3D modeling with Sketchup and space planning in AutoCAD
Space planning, developing unique design concepts
Producing drawings for an architectural set (lighting layouts, reflected ceiling plans, base file coordination in CAD on an as-needed basis)
Management and assistance of interior finishes and fixtures
Working on upgrades for existing properties
Assisting in the finish selection of new cabins, both interior, and exterior
Sourcing furniture and other items for properties that are in line with our brand identity
Time-Management Duties
Working closely with the Interior Design and Project manager to achieve agreed-upon goals and deadlines
Updating management on project progress, regular communication in regards to design changes and updates
Create finish schedules for extensive remodels and projects
Administrative Duties
Total management of assigned projects with the direction and support of the Interior Design and Project Manager
Working closely with external vendors and architects
Flexibility and willingness to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Collaborate with the design team as well as cross-functionally with other departments such as operations and marketing as needed

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in interior design or a related field
3+ Years experience in Interior Design
Experience working with brand identity and customer experience
Computer proficiency, including the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite, and Asana preferred
Experienced in AutoCAD, SketchUp
Ability to create strong mood boards and other visuals to convey your design vision

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Trustworthy, self-motivated, passionate, and dedicated to high-quality work
Ability to work independently and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision
