Primary Responsibilities

Fishbeck is seeking a full-time Interior Designer to join our Architectural Department. The successful candidate will work with project design teams to develop interior design concepts, conduct product research, make finish selections, and develop construction documents and specifications. Responsibilities also include creation of finish boards, renderings, and other presentation materials for convey design intent. This position requires strong graphic and verbal communication skills between the candidate, design team, and client. This position will support all Fishbeck markets including higher education, workplace, healthcare, municipal, and retail projects.

Essential Functions
Develop and communicate design concepts.
Conduct material and product research as required for project development.
Translate design intent into construction documents and specifications.
Selection and specification of furniture and fixtures.
Liaison between clients and vendors for various projects.
Continued understanding of market trends and products.
Minimum Physical Requirements

Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment, visual acuity to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Desired Degree

Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design

Desired Job Experience
5+ years of AE firm experience or demonstrating the ability to perform desired responsibilities.
NCIDQ or path to certification.
LEED, WELL, or similar certification or ability to obtain within 2 years.
Diverse market experience. Emphasis in Higher Ed, Workplace, and Healthcare is preferred.
Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience with rendering software (Lumion, Enscape) and FF&E procurement is a plus.
Strong organizational, planning and communication skills.
Ability to work in a multi-disciplined team environment with a collaborative mindset.
Ability to execute all phases of a project.
