IIDA Student Members are the future of design
ThinkUp 2021
This year, IIDA Michigan hosted its annual ThinkUP Student Design Competition in February. As in years past, we paired Junior and Senior Level Design Students from various Interior Design programs throughout the state of Michigan to collaborate and present a design solution to a panel of Professionals. This year's program asked students to design an office and retail space for a Skateboard Company, Walk the Dog. They were challenged to evaluate the company's culture, driven by innovation and high quality products, and asked to plan for up to 50 staff members. They had just under a week to develop their design, and did we mention, they did EVERYTHING virtually?!
